Another NHS team joins the EQMS fold
Qualsys has extended its reach into the NHS with the sale of an EQMS system to the Directorate of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Medical Physics at the Royal Free Hospistal. The hospital, which is part of the Royal Free and Hampstead NHS Trust has already successfully used EQMS for several years in its Pathology Directorate.
Natalie Thring, Quality Manager for the Directorate was asked to source an electronic solution that would assist the staff with its control of policies, procedures, work instructions and crib sheets. With the increasing complexity of processes it is critical that this information is managed effectively to ensure that staff always use the right document at the right time. Many of these processes are critical to the safety of the patient so a robust solution that minises the potential for human error is critical.
Natalie reviewed the EQMS system with her colleague, Jayne Fowler, Quality Manager at the Trust’s Pathology Directorate before making her decision. “EQMS provides the control and the flexibity we need. I can be confident that staff can only ever access the current version of a document and the system automates the regular review process to underpin the quality of the information.” said Natalie.
